Made as Unique as a Snowflake
Feeling unworthy is a common belief. We feel ordinary, like we have no significant contribution to make to the world. Here’s the rub. We want to matter. We want to feel like we have some importance—some significance. This is where the truth of God steps in.
Sherri will share how uniquely God has created us:
- God uses dust to begin the crystallization process in a snowflake, just like he did with us. Simple dust is anything but ordinary. (Gen 2:7)
- It takes bump and knocks to create beauty in a snowflake just as life’s trials make you more intricate and beautiful. (Rom 3:3-5)
- The reflection of light illuminates our beauty just as it does in a snowflake. (Eph 5:13)
- While there is great symmetry in a snowflake, each one possesses completely unique characteristics just as each person is uniquely created. (Psalm 138:8)
We are Royalty and Should Live Like Princesses
God calls us daughters, saints and royalty. Why is it we continue to feel like we are less than and inadequate when God himself has placed us in high esteem? He made us royalty so we would live like it.
Sherri will motivate the audience to see themselves differently:
- Every royal kingdom has etiquette. God kingdom is no different. Learn to live by God’s royal kingdom etiquette. (Esther 2:12)
- Being the daughter a good king has great value. (Psalm 95:3)
- We are called his children and loved with the same love as the Father loves Jesus. (1 John 3:1)
- We have been adopted by God and given a great inheritance. (Romans 8:15)
- You have been renamed by God. He has given you a new name and a new identity. (2 Cor 5:17)
Jesus Sees us Everyday as we Look on our Wedding Day
Let’s talk about loooovvveee. “Sigh” Isn’t it is our greatest desire? To fall head over heels and lose ourselves in love? As women we wait our whole life to walk down the aisle in our wedding dress. We wait for the day to be the most beautiful women in the room and leave our groom breathlessly smitten by our radiance.
Sherri will teach:
- Falling is the word we commonly use associated with the beginning of love. Falling is risky and can bring hurt. Love is risky. Learn to pick well to minimize the risk.
- Falling in love is easy, cultivating lasting love is a whole different animal. Lasting love takes sacrifice and selflessness. (1 Cor 13:4-8)
- Wear the white dress. The blood of Christ cleanses all our sin and leaves us pure as the driven snow. We are clean enough to wear white everyday. (Isaiah 1;18)
- Jesus sees us every day like its our wedding day. (Rev 19:7-9)
LIMITLESS — What does it mean to be limitless?
God is limitless. What would it look like if we lived like in his limitless ability.
- It’s not living without any rules
- It is pursuing all God has for you within the perimeters of His commands and guidance
- Throwing out all self-imposed, society imposed or man-made imposed boundaries
- Living only by the limits that God puts in your life
- It means staying a light in the darkness. Living lit up by Jesus
# GROUND IT
To live completely yielded to the Holy Spirit means grounding ourselves and everything we do in prayer.
- Like electricity lights up our world – the connection that prayer gives us lights us up for Jesus.
- Electricity has a ground wire – grounding protects what is being lit with electricity from the destructiveness that comes with electrical current. Prayer – protects us from the destruction of the enemy
- A ground wire is also a reservoir of charge – meaning is holds all the power. Prayer – is what connects us to the power of God and unleashes that power to be used for our benefit.
